California Zaps the Middle Class

The mid­dle class ends up fi­nanc­ing rate sub­si­dies for the poor aimed at ame­lio­rat­ing the higher costs of so­lar sub­si­dies for the well-to-do. Cal­i­for­nia’s cap-and-trade pro­gram and util­ity “pub­lic pur­pose pro­grams” like bat­tery sub­si­dies add sev­eral more cents per kilo­watt hour.

Joe Biden - the Jobs Killer


Pres­i­dent Biden’s $1.9 tril­lion Covid-re­lief pack­age will result in 5-8 mil­lion fewer Amer­i­cans working over the next six months. 

The bill would cre­ate one of the largest ex­pan­sions in gov­ern­ment wel­fare ben­e­fits since the birth of the mod­ern wel­fare state: it ex­panda the safety net to in­clude six months of weekly $400 bonus un­em­ploy­ment ben­e­fits on top of the nor­mal weekly ben­e­fits, a $3,000-a-child tax credit, an ex­pan­sion of food stamps and rental as­sistance, $2,000-a-per­son checks, and ex­panded health ben­e­fits.

For example, in Kan­sas, a fam­ily of four with two un­em­ployed adults who had earned U.S. me­dian wages could get paid the af­ter-tax equiv­a­lent of more than $135,000 on an an­nual ba­sis with­out work­ing an hour. In Mass­achusetts the fig­ure is $170,000. The Biden pack­age of ben­e­fits would ex­ceed the wages and salaries of at least 85% of house­holds.

An Insurrection?

 You must keep your perspective

I have a hard time understanding the Democrats' and the liberal media's disproportionate concern about  the actions of a few hundred of idiots and their characterizing these actions as an insurrection threatening our Democracy as well as ascribing white supremacy beliefs to people who voted for Trump.  Look at the numbers.

74 million voted for Trump.

10's of 1000's attended the rally Jan 6

1000's marched to the Capital

100's broke into the Capital

10's had evil intent at least 1 of which was a black BLM activist

The graphs illustrates the relative numbers.  You have to magnify the categories to actually be able to see the numbers relative to the voters.


This selective outrage and concern is not dissimilar to difference between the Democrats' and liberal media's response to the violence over this past summer compared to January 6th.

It is unconstitutional to impeach anyone other than The President, Vice President and all Civil Officers of the United States

 

Article 1, Section 2, Clause 5

The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

Article 1, Section 3, Clauses 6 and 7

The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried the Chief Justice shall preside; And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present. 

Judgement in Cases of Impreachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgement and Punishment, according to Law.

Article 2, Section 4

The President, Vice President and all Civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

My Analysis

The clear plan language of Article 2, Section 4 defines Impeachment to include both House “charging” and Senate “trying and finding guilty.”   Further Article 2 Section 4 limits Impeachment to the President, Vice President and all Civil Officers of the United States.  Donald Trump in no longer the President and is not the Vice President and all Civil Officers of the United States.  Therefore, he can no longer be impeached.

Article I, Section 9, Clause 3

No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

My Analysis

This means that other than Impeachment, neither the House of the Senate can try and punish anyone.

Amendment 14 Section 3

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

My Analysis

This means that if a person is found guilty of insurrection or rebellion, they shall not be eligible to be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state.  The KEY is that they must be found guilty in a judicial PROCESS NOT LEGISLATIVE PROCESS.

Con­gres­sional Bud­get Of­fice’s evaluation of a $15 fed­eral min­i­mum wage:

- loss of 1.4 mil­lion jobs

- dis­pro­portion­ately impacting younger and less ed­u­cated

- prices would also rise for goods and ser­vices that rely on en­try-level la­bor, “such as food pre­pared in restau­rants.” 

- The fed­eral bud­get deficit through 2031 would in­crease $54 bil­lion as the gov­ern­ment spends more on un­em­ploy­ment ben­e­fits and health-care pro­grams
