Media misleads about CRT

In my view CRT’s foundational claim is that the major disparities between blacks and whites today is due to systemic racism today. My problem with this is that it takes away agency, and individual responsibility and misses the real issues causing disparities.

Further it’s beliefs that there is no objectivity, rationality or value in typical Judeo-Christian values like punctuality, hard work will hurt blacks and America

Finall the claim that opponents of teaching CRT are opposing the teaching of history is patently false. Example is the Texas law where the law actually says no students can be taught that the student should feel guilty about subject matter (i.e. racism) because of their race or sex.  It doesn’t prevent students being taught subject matter that could make the student feel guilty

Recent analysis highlights how badly the media is misleading the public about what is actually in CRT.

• Coverage largely ignored bedrock assumptions of CRT, including its explicit rejection of rationality and objectivity. This was mentioned in fewer than 10 percent of articles.

• News accounts also rarely mentioned concerns about CRT-aligned practices, such as segre- gated, race-based affinity spaces or the promotion of “anti-racist” racial stereotypes.
