Actions have consequences

Biden Administration is Wack II
The U.S. military faces an unprecedented crisis of recruitment. Last year, for the first time in the 50-year history of the all-volunteer force, the services missed their recruitment goals. The Army fell 15,000 recruits short of its goal last year, in addition to the 8,000 enlisted service members who were kicked out because they didn’t comply with President Biden’s vaccine mandate. Reports show this year’s recruiting may be even worse, with four of the six military branches on track to miss their recruitment goals.
The Biden Administration recently decided to use an enlisted, “non-binary” drag queen as a “poster boy” for recruitment.
What seems clear is that the US Armed Forces using such a person as a recruiting spokes person is likely to disenfranchise the young people, primarily men, that are willing to die to protect this country and unlikely to attract sufficient numbers of capable unhappy or confused individuals to replace those lost.
99.98 % of humans are born with a testes and go on to develop into a typical male or with an ovary and go on to develop into a typical female. A small percentage of these may require surgical intervention or hormonal treatment to complete their development due to a congenital defect related to genes, hormones and/or biochemical processes that affects normal development.
Only a tiny fraction of a percent (0.02%) of babies are born with a congenital defect related to genes, hormones and/or biochemical processes that result in atypical gonadal, genital or puberty development. In these rare cases treatment with puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and/or surgical interventions may be required to enable the typical development of an individual.
Some people are not happy with their sex and choose to live their life as the opposite sex and may pursue various interventions (puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and/or surgical interventions) to help them develop the desired external characteristics.
Some people are not happy with their sex and claim to be neither sex, both sexes, fluid between sexes and choose to live their life as whatever sexual identity they feel and may pursue various interventions (puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and/or surgical interventions) to help them develop desired external characteristics.
But no interventions can convert a person of one sex into reproductively functional person of the other sex.
At what point a person is mature enough to make a permanent life altering decision or what the mental health may be of a person that is so unhappy with their sex that they choose to live as the opposite sex or neither, both, or fluid sex is a topic of debate.
Biden Administration is Wack
Saint Francis Health System, the twelfth largest hospital in the nation, keeps a candle lit inside its hospital chapels, in accordance with its Catholic faith. The candle is encased in glass and covered on top and has been approved repeatedly by the local fire marshal. The chapel’s living flame was never a problem in decades’ worth of prior accreditation surveys.
Recently the Administration’s Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the largest health care payer in the country, decided a single candle was dangerous and threatens to strip the hospital of the ability to accept Medicare, Medicaid, or Children's Health Insurance Program if it does not extinguish the flame. This action would stop Saint Francis from being able to treat elderly and poor patients.

Increase Min Wage Doesn’t Help
New large well designed study just released.
- We find that a 10 percent increase in the minimum wage is associated with a (statistically insignificant) 0.17 percent increase in the probability of longer-run poverty among all persons. [i.e. they find no effect]
- We find that less than 10 percent of workers who would be affected by a newly proposed $15 federal minimum wage live in poor families.

Teachers Unions Hurt
On October 4, 2020, a large group of prestigious, world renowned experts in immunology, virology, medicine and public health prepared and published The Great Barrington Declaration. Their message:
1. Grave concerns about the damaging educational, physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies including shut downs and school closings.
2. Highlighted these measures in will cause irreparable damage, with the underprivileged disproportionately harmed.
3. Espoused alternative of greatly improved focused protection of older people and other high-risk groups.
This message was censored and resisted by the Biden Administration, Fauci and teachers unions assisted by main stream and social media.
Today we are learning just how badly these closings have affected society, especially disadvantaged children, and how much the administrative state and teachers unions participated in opposing and censoring this alternative.

Health Care Market Broken
The most recent data on national health care expenditures shows that in 2021 the Government controls ~64% of spending including the subsidy of tax free employer provided health insurance.
The market is inefficient and distorted due to opaque pricing, cost shifting from government to private insured and uninsured, and tax free subsidy for employer health insurance.
Improvements would be:
- Health care products and service providers free to charge what ever price they want, BUT they can only charge one price and not allow cost shifting.
- Employer provide health insurance taxed as income to minimize over consumption.
- Catastrophic (major medical) insurance based on large risk pools available to all who participate (can't buy at last minute) subsidized based on need.
- Non-Catastrophic (minor medical) insurance with copays and deductibles based on large risk pools available to all who participate (can't buy at last minute) subsidized based on need.

Gender affirming care is
treating a person of one sex to allow that person to live as the opposite sex
and consists of a series of treatments starting with puberty blockers, frequently
followed with cross sex hormones and ultimately concluding with surgical
genital reconstruction and breast removal or augmentation. With the exception
of short-term usage of puberty blockers, gender affirming care is permanent and
life altering.
Adolescents face a wide range of issues that can be a source of struggle including puberty, independence, impulsive behavior, body type, self-esteem, sexuality, friends, drugs, and education. Social Media may exacerbate these struggles. There has been an explosion of adolescents, primarily girls, questioning their gender.(1)
There is a debate as to what level of gender affirming care is appropriate.
The Biden Administration and Critical
Social Justice proponents are advocating aggressive gender affirming care for
adolescents.
Recently, countries in the EU, which had previously allowed open access to gender affirming care, have begun limiting it and prescribing mental health counseling because they have seen the results of studies, early and limited, that gender affirming care may cause more damage than it prevents.
Now we are seeing states
starting to limit gender affirming care to the extremely rare
cases where it is medically necessary. See the Montana exceptions below which are
typical of all of the states limiting gender affirming care.

of any infection, injury, disease, or disorder that has been caused or
exacerbated by a [gender affirming] medical treatment listed in subsection
(1)(a) or (1)(b), whether or not the medical treatment was performed in
accordance with state and federal law and whether or not funding for the
medical treatment is permissible under state and federal law.

The CBO has revised their estimate based on all the changes Biden administration is sneaking into the law. Golden Sachs has done an analysis. And the Penn Wharton Budget Model has provided their analysis. The spending of the IRA is revised from $285 billion to $1.045 TRILLION, an increase of $760 billion. (3)

Deficit increase of $522 billion NOT the $238 billion decrease promised.

One is so old and so cognitively impaired he needs others to manage the questions he is asked and probably to spoon feed the answers to him.
The other seems to have a difficult time stringing together a coherent sentence.
This is being defended by claiming that the question on the card was not exactly the same as the one asked. While it is true that the words were different, it is UTTERLY FALSE that the underlying questions were not the same.
Question on cheat sheet: "How are YOU squaring YOUR domestic priorities — like reshoring semiconductors manufacturing — with alliance-based foreign policy?" read the question in Biden's hand.
Question asked: "Your top economic priority has been to build up U.S. domestic manufacturing in competition with China, but your rules against expanding chip manufacturing in China is hurting South Korean companies that rely heavily on Beijing. Are you damaging a key ally in the competition with China to help your domestic politics ahead of the election?"

US Tax System is Broken
The US tax system us broken, inefficient and promotes crony capitalism. The Tax Foundation has a great analysis, explanation and proposal that is a dramatic improvement over the current system with 5 key points
1. We have a federal tax system that is complex, costly, and political, centered on taxing both individual and business income at progressive tax rates and littered with various preferences.
2. As top priority, lawmakers should simplify the tax code so that taxpayers can understand the laws and the IRS can administer them with minimum cost and frustration.
3. Lawmakers should reduce the economic drag caused by the tax code, not through preferences that are political, targeted and complicated, but by broadly improving incentives to work, save, and invest through lower marginal tax rates on individual and corporate income.
4. One proposal is revenue-neutral that can greatly improve economic growth, increasing GDP by 2.3 percent in the long run, adding 1.3 million jobs, and raising wages by 1.3 percent such that after-tax incomes for the bottom 40 percent of earners increase by nearly 3 percent on average.
5. Taxing consumption as opposed to income raises substantial revenue in a more economically efficient way.
