Last week I posted a picture coming frrm a Bloomberg report. Given the reputation and credibility of Bloomberg I didn't examine their data of method. Now it is clear their report is misleading.
I believe they reported only on the net change in total headcount, NOT the hiring numbers. Their error I believe was ignoring all of the new hiring that replaced employees that left the companies. This later data is not a part of the EEOC reporting so you have to make assumptions. If you assume that 18% of employees are replaced every year you get a different picture, 35% of total hires were non-white.
