AZ not banning abortion

Arizona’s highest court MIGHT uphold a 1864 law. The court put its ruling on hold, and sent the matter back to a lower court to hear additional arguments about the law’s constitutionality.

The law, which was on the books long before Arizona achieved statehood in 1912, outlaws abortion from the moment of conception, except when necessary to save the life of the mother. 

The majority opinion said that a “policy matter of this gravity must ultimately be resolved by our citizens through the legislature or the initiative process.

Similar to the brouhaha caused by the Alabama Supreme Court, this issue would likely be resolved quickly by the Arizona legislators to eliminate the old law and keep their current law, which has a 15 week limit for abortion for any reason

Purdue had to play a level above UConn to win. First half they were close.  Second half they were not close.  Edey did well. The rest were outmatched and outplayed by UConn. 

Congrats to UConn on championship. 

Congrats and thanks to Purdue for a great season. 

I was there in 80 when we lost to UCLA in final four. 

Hopefully I don’t have to wait another 44 years to see a championship.

Biden’s misguided leadership

Biden is calling for an immediate cease fire in Gaza and making the highest priority protecting civilians.

Hamas is evil. Hamas broke the previous cease fire and invaded Israel and killed 1000’s of innocent civilians. Hamas uses innocent civilians as shields. Israel goes to great length to minimize civilian casualties. But Hamas must be destroyed.

The scale of civilian deaths caused by Israel are smaller than the scale of civilian deaths caused by US military actions.

We Need Legal Immigration NOT Illegal

I support immigration. A lot of immigration. But legal immigration, with a mix of merit based  (engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, doctors, mathematicians, etc.) and opportunity-based (people who want to work hard, adopt American values, and get ahead). No doubt there are highly capable, hard working people throughout the world that want to integrate into US society with its freedom and norms. 

Tough luck! To legally immigrate into the US is almost impossible unless you are a relative (8 year wait), employer sponsored or win a very limited lottery.

Biden's Illegal Immigration will allow almost 11 MILLION illegal immigrants into the US. And this doesn't count the "got aways," people crossing the border without being caught. Biden is not enforcing the existing laws resulting in a porous border for illegal immigrants. Biden’s border policies continue to be a mess, put many innocents at risk AND allow Mexican cartels to get rich. Why does anybody think he would enforce any new laws.

How is this fair to the many people throughout the world trying to legally immigrate to the USA?

Title 8, U.S. Code, sec. 1225(b)(1)(B)(IV) states: Any alien subject to the procedures under this clause shall be detained pending a final determination of credible fear of persecution and, if found not to have such a fear, until removed.

Title 8 U.S. Code, sec 1182(f): Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

Why does Biden Hamstring Ukraine

It’s funny that Biden can flout SCOTUS and find 100’s of billions to BRIBE voters but can’t find a few billion to help Ukraine.

Pusillanimous Biden continues to be afraid of helping Ukraine defeat the invading Russians. He has and continues to deny the quantity and capabilities of weapons needed. 

Similar to his efforts with Israel he is acting like an armchair quarterback telling Ukraine how to conduct THEIR war for. Survival.
